Frequently Asked Questions

Still have questions?

What is included with my rental vehicle?

All rooftop tent rental vehicles include the vehicle itself, a professionally installed rooftop tent, and essential camping gear. Most rentals also include a camping kitchen setup, cooking equipment, chairs, a table, and basic recovery and safety gear. This allows you to travel and camp across Western Canada without bringing your own camping equipment.

Do I need experience?

No prior experience other than operating a vehicle and following the instructions provided. Our campers are designed to be easy to use, and full instructions are provided during pickup. Most guests, even first-time rooftop campers, are comfortable setting up and packing down the camper after a short walkthrough.

How many people can you sleep?

Most comfortably sleep four adults, with some models accommodating only two adults and one child. The exact capacity depends on the tent, camper installed on your rental vehicle. All sleeping quarters include a built-in mattress and are designed for safe, elevated sleeping.

What are the mileage limits on rentals?

300 kms per day of your trip. $0.50 per kilometre thereafter.

Is insurance included with the rental?

Basic insurance coverage is not included with rooftop tent rental vehicles. Insurance is mandatory and is charged on top of the rental.

You may purchase your own insurance and provide proof prior to pickup.

Can I cross provincial or international borders with the vehicle?

Travel between Alberta and British Columbia is permitted. International border crossings, including travel into the United States, requires prior approval and additional documentation. Always confirm before your trip.

Can I drive on forest service roads or off-road trails?

Yes, vehicles may be driven on maintained gravel roads and forest service roads. Driving on extreme off-road trails, rock crawling routes, or unsafe terrain is not permitted. Always follow local road regulations and rental guidelines.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation policies vary depending on how far in advance the booking is cancelled. Full details are provided at the time of booking, and guests are encouraged to review the policy before confirming their reservation.
